25 February 2025Zero Day is taking over.
The new Netflix limited series made a strong debut on the Top 10 English TV List, ranking #2 with 19.1M views in its first four days. The drama made the Top 10 in 91 countries and ranked #1 in 43.
Zero Day stars Robert De Niro as respected former US President George Mullen, who, as head of the Zero Day Commission, is charged with finding the perpetrators of a devastating cyber attack that has caused chaos, and thousands of fatalities, across the country. As disinformation runs rampant and the personal ambition of power brokers in technology, Wall Street, and government collide, Mullen’s unwavering search for the truth forces him to confront his own dark secrets while risking all he holds dear.
In a fitting — and chilling — nod to the series’ premise, video clips of Apple Cider Vinegar, Cobra Kai and XO, Kitty posted on Netflix’s social accounts were interrupted by Zero Day clips featuring De Niro in the days following Zero Day’s February 20 debut. The captions for the videos were also hacked, followed by an ominous warning: “THIS WILL HAPPEN AGAIN."
