13 May 2024São Paulo, May 13, 2024 - If you binge-watched the first season of Stranded with my Mother-in-Law, you'll be happy to know that new episodes are coming your way! Filming has wrapped on the Brazilian reality show and the second season will arrive soon on Netflix. With new families and stories, this new season is sure to be an emotional, dramatic journey. Fernanda Souza returns as host, alongside psychologist and mediator Shenia Karlsson. Produced by Floresta, the show was directed by Eduardo Mendonça and Eugenia Ruggeri.
Entire families auditioned for the season – but to keep the contestants in the dark and pump up the adrenaline, they only found out who would actually be participating a few hours before they set off for the show. Together, the families traveled to an island paradise with hopes of winning R$ 500,000. Once again, only the sons- and daughters-in-law will be confined with their respective mothers-in-law – their true teammates in this quest – while the sons and daughters watch it all unfold from a bunker on the other side of the island.
With an original format, the first season of the Brazilian production Stranded with my Mother-in-Law debuted in October 2023 on Netflix and immediately won over reality TV fans with the unpredictability of its 6 mothers-in-law and their families. The show was a hit in Brazil and around the world, landing in Netflix's Top 10 most-watched shows.
