30 April 2026Netflix has unveiled the main trailer and poster for The WONDERfools, a 1999-set superpower comedy adventure series about a group of neighborhood misfits who unexpectedly gain powers and find themselves, against all odds, trying to save their city — and maybe the world.
The main trailer opens with a striking moment as Chae-ni, blood dripping from her nose, questions if she’s going to die — and instantly draws viewers in. Chae-ni, the neighborhood’s official troublemaker, shouts that she wants to live to see the end of the world, only to suddenly acquire teleportation powers that send her bouncing from an abandoned greenhouse to a boat, and even tumbling into the Joseon era through a wardrobe. Meanwhile, Ro-bin is left stunned when he casually tosses a can and it punches through a wall, and Gyeong-hun finds his feet stuck firmly to the ground. Their reactions tease at how their everyday lives are upended by these unexpected powers, heightening curiosity about the trio’s story. Things take another turn when the three come across Un-jeong, who skillfully uses his telekinesis powers. Calling him “master,” they begin to follow him around, much to his flustered dismay — further teasing the crew’s unpredictable chemistry.
Elsewhere, word spreads that people are mysteriously disappearing again, just as they did 20 years ago — and Dr. Ha Won-do and the three Wunderkinder are introduced, adding tension to the story. As curiosity grows over their abilities and the threat they may pose to Haeseong-si, audiences see the four misfits scrambling to face the looming peril.
The main poster features a chaotic, doomsday-tinged backdrop of Haeseong-si with Chae-ni (Park Eun-bin) leading the charge, Un-jeong (Cha Eun-woo) using telekinesis, Gyeong-hun (Choi Dae-hoon) with his hand stuck to a steering wheel, and Ro-bin (Im Seong-jae) with a chunk of a wall clinging to his arm. Amid the chaos — cars flying through the air and buildings and signboards collapsing — glimpses of Chae-ni appearing in multiple places hint at her teleportation powers and how she might use them. The image teases how Team WONDERfools will combine their odd abilities to save Haeseong-si from crisis.
With inventive direction, witty dialogue, and a uniquely comedic ensemble, The WONDERfools is set to captivate audiences around the world when it premieres on May 15, exclusively on Netflix.
