'The Gift of Deceit': Netflix Reveals the Title of Its New Brazilian Series and Teaser Featuring Marieta Severo, Alice Wegmann, and Nanda Costa

São Paulo, September 10, 2026 — “You speak the truth. The truth is your gift of deceit." Netflix has announced the title of its new series, The Gift of Deceit, premiering later this year with Marieta Severo, Alice Wegmann, Nanda Costa as well as a large ensemble cast. There are also new photos and a teaser featuring vocals by singer Liniker, who re-recorded Caetano Veloso's song “Dom de Iludir” for this production — a fitting choice for a gripping story, directed by Mauro Mendonça Filho, which blends elements of melodrama and suspense and is full of intrigue, secrets and twists.  Amid the luxury of Rio's elite, art collector Lúcia Rossetti (Marieta Severo) and her daughter Maíra Rossetti (Alice Wegmann) have a complex and turbulent relationship. When their paths cross with Irina's (Nanda Costa), the web of intrigue and tension intensifies. The cast also stars José de Abreu, Felipe Camargo, Luciana Paes, Laila Garin, Rui Ricardo Diaz, Heloisa Jorge, Allan Souza Lima, Jonas Bloch, Giovanna de Jesus, José Mata, Thiago Justino, Hamilton Dias, Laura Vick, Yanna Lavigne and Rosanna Viegas.
