Netflix announced today the start of filming of its new film directed by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, the renowned Spanish director responsible for projects such as AzulOscuroCasiNegro, Diecisiete, and Primos, among others.

The film is a thriller in which no one is exactly who they seem to be, and the cast will be led by Laia Costa (Un amor, Cinco lobitos), Karra Elejalde (Segunda muerte, Ocho apellidos vascos), Luis Zahera (Animal, As bestas), Tamar Novas (Clanes, Nowhere), Álvaro Cervantes (Sorda, Loco por ella) and Lluís Homar (La mala educación, Los abrazos rotos).

The film is produced by Bambú Producciones (La viuda negra, Fariña, El caso Alcasser, El caso Asunta), with Ramón Campos as executive producer and screenwriter alongside Daniel Sánchez Arévalo. The plot is set in the midst of the economic crisis, when a group of robbers break into a bank in Madrid, triggering a chain of unpredictable events. What at first seems like just another robbery turns into a game of deception, fear, and survival, where every decision counts, every gesture hides something, and everyone is looking to escape from something more than just prison. Filming has already begun and will take place in various locations in Madrid.

In the words of Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, “Would you like to change genres?” Ramón asked me. I didn't hesitate for a second to respond with an enthusiastic yes. I really wanted to get out of my world. To explore other stories that didn't come from my head. When Ramón told me the plot, I felt that it wasn't just the perfect vehicle, it was the perfect roller coaster to take the viewer on and try to offer them an experience full of action, suspense, intrigue, confusion, twists, and pure fun. And I'm especially happy with the cast we've put together: Laia, Karra, Luis, Tamar, Álvaro and Lluís. A real dream team."
