Só se for por amor: Sertanejo sofrência music is the chosen tune for Netflix's new Brazilian series

São Paulo, November 4, 2021. People say that no one in the world suffers for love like Brazilians do, and the greatest proof of that is sertanejo sofrência music. No wonder Netflix's new Brazilian series, Só se for por amor \[Only if it's for love\], sought inspiration in this musical style to tell a story about broken hearts, dreams, ambition and fame. Production is in the final shooting stages and it’s scheduled to premiere in 2022. In the plot, set in Goiás, Deusa (Lucy Alves) and Tadeu (Filipe Bragança) are in love and decide to start a band called Só se for por amor. But as soon as they start to become successful, Deusa receives a proposal to start a solo career. As they follow different paths, their relationship becomes rocky, while the band will start searching for a new lead singer. That's when the mysterious Eva (Agnes Nunes) comes into the scene.
