Berlin, August 5, 2025 – When Mavi (Beritan Balcı), who grew up in Hamburg, receives a trip to Turkey as a gift from her boyfriend Can (Sinan Güleç), she is overjoyed – finally, she can get to know the country where her parents were born and dive into the metropolis of Istanbul! What she doesn’t know: Can actually wanted to use the trip as an opportunity to propose, but his first attempt at popping the question went completely wrong. And in Istanbul, there’s another surprise waiting for her: a family she never knew she had – an influential business dynasty that already has plans for their newly discovered heiress.
The German-Turkish romcom She Said Maybe whisks audiences away to dazzling Istanbul and picturesque Cappadocia starting September 19 – perfect late summer entertainment, full of drama and heart! The first photos now reveal the cast, including lead actress Beritan Balcı as well as Sinan Güleç, the German-Turkish film and TV star Serkan Çayoğlu (already well known in Turkey), Caroline Daur, Cansu Tosun, Mehmet Ateşçi, and Meral Perin.

After a failed marriage proposal, Mavi, who grew up in Germany, discovers that she is part of a super-rich Turkish dynasty in dazzling Istanbul.
