Mobile Game Pokémon GO to Release Themed In-game Event Celebrating Launch of New Episodes

Pokémon Concierge returns with new episodes (Ep. 5–8) premiering globally on Netflix this September 4! To build the hype, brand-new stills have been released, teasing fresh looks for Arcanine, Eevee, Sealeo, and more. Set at the Pokémon Resort, the heartwarming story follows a kind-hearted concierge learning life lessons through her daily encounters with Pokémon guests.

In the first four episodes of the series, a once-overwhelmed Haru begins to rediscover her true self while working as a concierge at the Pokémon Resort. Beloved by fans and critics alike, Pokémon Concierge has earned international acclaim for its charming visuals and heartfelt storytelling, including honors at both the 2024 Annie Awards and 2024 Annecy Awards.

The newly released stills show the Pokémon enjoying their time to the fullest at the resort. Haru and Psyduck, now an inseparable duo, continue to shine with undeniable chemistry in the upcoming episodes. Other heartwarming scenes include Bulbasaur, Bellsprout, and Eevee snuggling together; the energetic trio of Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour bursting with excitement; and Rattata and Furret napping peacefully beside Shiinotic. Dedenne is sitting still, ever so sweetly, while Snorlax snoozes in the dark — and naturally, Pikachu finds its way into the scene as well.

The new episodes also introduce fresh faces, both human and Pokémon. One storyline follows Dan’s (Craig Lee Thomas) arrival at the resort with his loyal Sealeo companion of 15 years. But behind his calm demeanor, there seems to lie a hidden struggle. There's also Arcanine, who makes an entrance with Kent (Jacob Bertrand), a mysterious visitor… who just happens to be Haru’s ex! What brings him to the resort? And when trouble strikes, the presence of Shinx and Luxray hints that their powers might just come into play. Spotting all the Pokémon across different scenes is also part of the fun, so keep your eyes peeled.

To celebrate the release of the new episodes, a special collaboration event will take place in Pokémon GO, a location-based augmented reality mobile game co-developed by The Pokémon Company and Niantic. The event will take place from Tuesday, September 9, at 10:00 a.m. local time to Sunday, September 14, at 8:00 p.m. local time. During the event, Trainers can encounter Psyduck with a swim ring, along with other Pokémon featured in the new episodes, like Arcanine, Eevee and Sealeo—and they might catch a glimpse of characters from the series. Trainers can also pick up in-game stickers featuring Pokémon from Pokémon Concierge, as well as a new avatar item: Haru’s Aloha Shirt!
