13 October 2026Netflix today announced the start of filming on Rata, a remake of the 2016 French film Radin, by Laurent Turner, Nicolas Cuche and Fred Cavayé. The comedy stars Paco León (Aida: The Movie, Sin instrucciones) alongside Miren Ibarguren (La que se avecina, You Keep the Kids) and Alicia Falcó (The Map of Longing, Billionaires' Bunker), and is directed by Oriol Pérez Alcaraz (La casa nostra). Filming of this Fasten International Films production for Netflix will take place at various locations in Madrid.
Federico (Paco León) counts the minutes of his showers, the watts and even his sighs. His perfectly controlled life as a penny-pincher is turned upside down when Laura (Alicia Falcó), the daughter he never knew he had, shows up. Determined to wreck his meticulous system of saving and to set him up with Valentina (Miren Ibarguren), Laura will show him that some things have no price.
Rata is written by Eric Navarro and Natalia Durán, directed by Oriol Pérez Alcaraz, executive produced by Claudia Calviño, and produced by Gaël Nouaille and Adria Monés, with Andreu Ortoll as director of photography.
