New episodes of The Nutty Boy will premiere on Netflix on April 6th

São Paulo, April 4, 2023 — With the upcoming April holidays, Netflix is serving up entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. New episodes of The Nutty Boy, Netflix's first Brazilian children’s entretainment  series, will be released this Thursday, April 6, featuring lots of mischief from Nutty, Julieta, and Bocão.

The series continues to tell a story that revolves around the boundless imagination of the protagonists. In the first episodes, Nutty’s life had completely changed: his parents had divorced, his mother had a job in a new city, and his father had also moved to be closer to them. The new stories are about the freedom of being a child. And they still celebrate the Brazilian identity culture within the universe of animation.

Produced by Chatrone for Netflix, The Nutty Boy is adapted by Carina Schulze and Rodrigo Olaio, directed by Beto Gomez and Michele Massagli, art directed by Beta Kruger and Walkir Fernandes, and animated by Fits. Gustavo Suzuki is the lead writer. 

Synopsis

Nutty sees the world around him as a springboard for a billion new adventures and pulls us along to see everything through his eyes. As we are faced with all the amazing possibilities that life has to offer, we are inevitably led to question outdated elements of the status quo - thus making Nutty Boy an agent of positive change.

About Chatrone: Chatrone is an audiovisual production company founded in 2007, with offices in Los Angeles and São Paulo. It is the producer of the animated feature Festa no Céu in partnership with Guillermo Del Toro. The film received many awards as well as nominations from organizations such as the Golden Globes. In Brazil, they are known for production of the series and musical films Gaby Estrella and for the action-adventure series Juacas, both nominated for an Emmy Kids award. They have won several awards for the action series Sem Volta and for the recently launched animated series Ba Da Bean. He is currently dedicated to the production of the film Batman Azteca.
