26 May 2026On May 23 and 24, Netflix opened our doors to fans in Toronto for the very first time. As part of the city’s iconic Doors Open event, we welcomed more than 4,500 visitors of all ages and backgrounds into our office, offering a behind-the-scenes look at our home for Canadian stories like North of North and Wayward.
Doors Open is an annual city-wide event that invites the public to explore over 160 buildings and sites across Toronto with free admission. This year, Netflix was thrilled to be part of the lineup.
For Doors Open, our office transformed into an immersive fan experience celebrating the stories, creators and productions shaping Netflix. Visitors explored the space, enjoyed panoramic views of the city and discovered where we work on the shows and films they love. They also were able to discover filming locations across Canada through our Netflix In Your Neighbourhood experience, and walk our Netflix Canada red carpet.
Fans also had the chance to step inside a series of activations, including a real Is It Cake? experience, a HUNTR/X stage from the beloved KPop Demon Hunters, and a Stranger Things-themed room. Guests also found fun surprise moments throughout the office, from the Pink Guards from Squid Game to favourite character pop-ups like Leo, Squirtle, Derpy, Chopper and Ollie.
Rain and shine, families, friends and fans joined in on the fun all weekend, exploring, taking photos, asking questions and learning more about how Canadian stories come to life at Netflix. We are proud to have celebrated Canadian storytelling with these special guests and to have given them a way to connect with the shows and films they love.
