Six percent of Internet Service Providers saw an increase between 0.2 and 0.6 Mbps, 75% stayed the same, and 19% decreased by 0.2 Mbps this month on the Netflix ISP Speed Index, our monthly update on which ISPs provide the best prime-time Netflix streaming experience.

Thirty-nine countries and regions were in the top performance tier in February: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, the United States all registered an average speed of 3.2 Mbps.

Vietnam saw significant increases from two ISPs since January's results, with Saigontourist Cable Television rising from 2.0 to 2.6 Mbps and FPT Telecom increasing from 2.6 to 3.0 Mbps. It was also the only country to record an overall average speed increase, rising from 2.8 to 3.0 Mbps.

The Netflix ISP Speed Index is a measure of prime-time Netflix performance on a particular ISP and not a measure of overall performance for other services or data that may travel across the specific ISP network. Higher Netflix performance generally means better picture quality, quicker start times, and fewer interruptions. We also created a separate tool to check your current download performance: Visit https://FAST.com on any internet browser or download the FAST Speed Test iOS or Android app.
