02 May 2022Lastnight, Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival rolled out the red carpet and presented THE HALL: Honoring the Greats of Stand-Up at Hollywood Palladium. The taped event, which will premiere on Netflix at a later date, was full of laughter and memories as John Mulaney honored Robin Williams, Dave Chappelle honored Rrichard Pryor, Chelsea Handler honored Joan Rivers, and Jon Stewart honored Goerge Carlin. The evening was hosted by Pete Davidson.

The day kicked off with a celebratory brunch hosted by Netflix co-ceo Ted Sarandos. Attendees included Adam Sandler, Ali Wong,Bill Burr,Bo Burnham, Charlie McDowell, Dave Chappelle, Fortune Feimster, Jerrod Carmichael, Jerry Seinfeld, Jimmy Carr, Jimmy O. Kicking off the first night of Seth Rogen’s Tables Reads on behalf of Hilarity for Charity livefrom The Orpheum Theatre, Rogen brought out friends Natasha Leggero, Brendan Scannell, Moshe Kasher, Kathryn Hahn, John O'Hurley, Aziz Ansari, Jack Black + more to perform three classic episodes from Seinfeld. Reading through "The Hamptons", "The Marine Biologist", & "The Contest", Rogen and his friends had the audience laughing from start to finish. All proceeds will go to Hilarity for Charity,, whose mission is to care for families impacted by Alzheimer's disease, inspire the next generation of Alzheimer's advocates, and be leaders in brain health research and education.

It was a packed night at The Orpheum as Aziz Ansari performed to a sold out crowd immediately following the table reads for the first of three shows he'll be headlining. With Wil Sylvince hosting, Ansari brought out friends Jim Jefferies, JimmyCarr, and Ronny Chieng before taking the stage himself, with the enthusiastic late night crowd cheering loudly.
