12 April 2024Netflix announced today the premiere on May 10 of Cooking Up Murder: Uncovering the story of Cesar Roman, the new Netflix docuseries produced by Charlie Arnaiz and Alberto Ortega from Dada Films & Entertainment.
The Cachopo King was one of the most media cases in recent years. Televisions throughout Spain echoed the gruesome story, in which César Román, known colloquially as The Cachopo King, was convicted of murdering and dismembering his partner Heidi Paz. This uncovered a web of secrets, false identities, crimes and the story of a character who lives between fantasy and reality.
Román Parrado ('El asesino de la baraja', 'Salvados') directs the three episodes of this documentary miniseries, which features statements from César Román's prison along with other testimonies that give an account of this story, such as that of Gloria Francis Bulnes, mother of Heidi Paz, who speaks for the first time about the case.
