06 March 2022Netflix has announced today the new project with Alberto and Laura Caballero (La que se avecina, El pueblo), Machos Alfa, the new series produced by Contubernio Films. A comedy that explores the difficulties of getting out the established roles and adapting to the current times.
The end of the Patriarchy is coming. In the middle of the masculinity crisis, four forty-some year old friends are losing their throne, privileges and identity. Years ago, they would have been alpha males in charge of their relationships, their jobs and their lives. But they have to live in the equality era, a society with new rules that hits them, showing how pathetic they are.
This is the first collaboration between Laura and Alberto Caballero, founders of Contubernio Films, and Netflix. “We are happy to start this journey with Netflix that allows us to open to the world and to come back to the 30 minutes format, which we think is ideal for comedy. We hope we’ll give back successfully all the love and respect we’re receiving with Machos Alfa”
