About Munich: The Edge of War

It is Autumn 1938 and Europe stands on the brink of war. Adolf Hitler (Ulrich Matthes) is preparing to invade Czechoslovakia and Neville Chamberlain’s (Jeremy Irons) British government desperately seeks a peaceful solution to the conflict. In the face of increasing pressure, British diplomat Hugh Legat (George MacKay) and German diplomat Paul von Hartmann (Jannis Niewöhner) travel to the emergency conference in Munich. As negotiations begin, the two old friends find themselves at the center of a web of political lies and threats. With the whole world watching, can war be averted and, if so, at what cost?
