It could be Emily in Paris but it's Back to 15 with Maisa and Camila Queiroz, video reveals details of the episode recorded in the French capital

São Paulo, March 8, 2022 — There were no special effects, no studio set. The latest episode of the Brazilian series Back to 15, which premiered on February 25, was actually shot in Paris, France. And Netflix today released a behind-the-scenes look at the Parisian adventure.

In the video filmed on location in France, Maisa, Camila Queiroz, Caio Cabral and Breno Ferreira tell us about their five days of recording there, where the characters of Anita and Henrique performed amid iconic landscapes and with a great deal of love.

And there’s more: see below, five more fun facts from the scenes of Back to 15 in Paris:

1) Nine people from the Brazilian production team set off for Paris in August 2021 to shoot the scenes. The team also had the support of 30 local professionals.

2) The chosen locations were the Montmartre neighborhood, the Place de la Concorde, the Pont de Bir-Hakeim bridge, Place Dauphine and of course the Eiffel Tower.

3) The chief scriptwriter Janaina Tokitaka wanted the episode to have a 'special feel,' reminiscent of the movie Antes do Pôr do Sol, with the characters walking around and enjoying the city. "As if the viewer could walk around there too," says Janaina.

4) Anita and Henrique's kiss with the Eiffel Tower lights flashing in the background was a lot of work to shoot. You see, the tower blinks just once an hour, and for only five minutes. "I had to have everything prepared, with the four actors [the couple from each phase] together," recalls general director Vivianne Jundi. “During that rush, each couple kissed for two and a half minutes," she adds.

5) Producer Carolina Alckmin estimates that there were more than 12 kisses for each couple.

Synopsis:

Back to 15 is a fun-filled story about self-discovery and maturity that centers on Anita, played by Maisa as a girl and Camila Queiroz as an adult. At 15, she dreamed of growing up and leaving behind her small hometown of Imperatriz to travel the world and meet new people. But when she turns 30, her life is nothing like she imagined. She doesn’t have many friends, she lives in a shabby apartment, and her love life is dead on arrival. That’s when Anita goes back to her hometown for her sister Luiza’s wedding. After a series of disastrous events, she holes up in her teenage bedroom, and like magic, is transported through time to her first day of high school. Her 30-year-old brain is trapped in a 15-year-old body!

Produced by Carolina Alckmin and Mayra Lucas, from Glaz Entretenimento, and directed by Vivianne Jundi and Dainara Toffoli, the series was adapted and scripted by Janaina Tokitaka. Renata Kochen, Alice Marcone, and Bryan Ruffo also worked on the script.
