GLITCH, MYSTERY, COMEDY AND THRILLER SERIES, CASTS JEON YEO-BEEN FOR MAIN LEAD

Director Rod Deok, writer Gin Han-sai, and actor Jeon Yeo-been team up for Glitch and they will present audiences with a multi-layered viewing experience. 

SEOUL, Mar 15, 2020 - Netflix, the world’s leading streaming entertainment service, has confirmed director Roh Deok and actor Jeon Yeo-been for production of its Original Series Glitch. Glitch tells the story of Hong Jihyo, who attempts to track down her missing boyfriend with the help of members from a UFO club. In the process, she comes face to face with a mysterious secret. 

The series will be directed by Roh Deok, known for her genre-crossing agility. With her hit film Very Ordinary Couple, her keen insight and refined aesthetic approach earned the film the Best Feature Award in the Asian New Talent category at the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival. Her versatile skills in each genre will be put to the test in this story about Jihyo and a UFO club chasing after unknown beings. Their journey, 

Jeon Yeo-been plays the lead role of Hong Jihyo. Jeon, who was lauded as a much talented rookie actor in the film After My Death, went on to prove her staying power with performances in Vincenzo, Be Melodramatic, and the upcoming film, Night in Paradise. Her commanding presence and compelling acting bring to life the character Hong Jihyo. In her quest to find her boyfriend, she and the UFO club come face to face with unknown beings and the mysterious secret they harbor. Jeon Yeo-been is expected to portray this multidimensional character in a unique and imaginative way.
