Berlin, September 5, 2024: Urschi (Alexandra Maria Lara), Babs (Anna Herrmann), Hakan (Kerim Waller), and couple Ziggy (Doğa Gürer) and Helmut (Devid Striesow) only have one thing in common: dogs they don't get along with too well. A course with legendary dog whisperer Nodon (Rúrik Gíslason) in the Tyrolean Alps is meant to finally reconcile the humans and their furry friends. However, what should be a harmonious weekend in a spectacular setting goes awry when fundamentally different personalities clash, and when the humans reluctantly come to realize that they—rather than their dogs—may be to blame for the situation.
Filming of Marco Petry's new Netflix comedy has started in Tyrol, Austria. The screenplay is written by Jane Ainscough, Marco Petry and Hortense Ullrich. The producers are Viola Jäger and Marina Schiller, with Olga Film in charge of production.
The movie stars Alexandra Maria Lara, Devid Striesow, Anna Herrmann, Doğa Gürer, Kerim Waller and Rúrik Gíslason.
Synopsis
In this wild comedy, five quirky dog owners seek help in dealing with their four-legged companions. Their last hope is an intensive course with charismatic, iconic dog trainer Nodon in the Tyrolean mountains.
This motley group includes dog-hating politician Ursula, who adopted stubborn pooch Brenda in an effort to polish her image, naive Babs and her big, impetuous dog Torsten, quarreling couple Ziggy and Helmut with their spoiled Chihuahua Gaga and, last but not least, aloof Hakan, who doesn't trust Roxy, his insecure German shepherd. Using unorthodox methods, dog trainer Nodon attempts to coach the overwhelmed two-legged creatures, because it soon becomes clear that they, rather than their faithful four-legged friends, are the ones in need of some behavioral therapy.
