'Cassandra' Celebrates Acclaimed World Premiere at Fantasy Filmfest

Munich, January 23, 2025: A smart home system that takes care of absolutely everything in the household—sounds too good to be true, right? In the case of the new miniseries CASSANDRA, everyone is delighted with the super robot, except for Samira(Mina Tander), who moves into the house controlled by AI Cassandra (Lavinia Wilson) with her family. An omnipresent smart home system and associated robot that seems like it can do anything, and not just in the home? That's too scary to be true!

On Thursday, Janbuary 23, the new series celebrated its world premiere in the presence of its creator, director and writerBenjamin Gutsche , as well as the cast (Lavinia Wilson, Mina Tander, Michael Klammer, Franz Hartwig, Joshua Kantara, Elias Grünthal, Filip Schnack and Pina Kühr) at the start of "White Nights" at Fantasy Filmfest  in Munich. The first two episodes were aired, and they demonstrated again that Cassandra is February's must-see thriller. A special guest also appeared on the red carpet: Cassandra, the original robot from the series!

Not only was the robot created for the shoot, but a technology never before used in Germany was also used. Lavinia Wilson's acting was transmitted in real time to the smart-home monitors so that her performance was caught on camera. The actors were able to interact directly with each other, without green screens, even though Wilson was physically in another room.

As part of the Fantasy Filmfest "White Nights," another special screening will take place on January 30 at the Residenz Köln — Astor Film Lounge theater in Cologne.
