11 December 2025Marriage, survival, and fighting off bad guys — can one guy juggle them all? See the hilarious chaos unfold as the main trailer and poster for Cashero are revealed, where being a hero unexpectedly comes at a (literal) cost.
Premiering December 26, Cashero follows Sang-ung (Lee Junho) — an ordinary salaryman with extraordinary worries. He’s struggling to save for marriage and housing when he suddenly gains a strange superpower — the more cash he has, the stronger he gets. Torn between daily expenses and heroic deeds, this paycheck-powered, everyman superhero story gives a fresh twist to the hero genre.
The main poster spotlights Sang-ung, bruised and disheveled, looking nothing like your typical hero. Behind him are his bewildered girlfriend Min-suk (Kim Hye-jun), Byun Ho-in (Kim Byung-chul), a man who can phase through anything when drunk, and Bang Eun-mi (Kim Hyang-gi), who gains telekinetic powers when she eats high-calorie food — hinting at the bizarre adventures awaiting this offbeat team.
The main trailer kicks off with Sang-ung and Min-suk horrified as bills and coins scatter every time he uses his power. His exasperated cry captures the absurdity of being a hero who can’t afford heroics. While Min-suk pleads with him to stop using his powers and focus on their future together, Sang-ung can’t help but find himself pulled into situations where he’s needed the most. Soon, he crosses paths with Byun Ho-in, Bang Eun-mi of the Korean Superhuman Association, and the villainous “Human League” led by Jo Nathan (Lee Chae-min), Jo Anna (Kang Han-na), and Jo Won-do (Kim Eui-sung), turning his once mundane life into total chaos.
As the absurdity escalates, Cashero explores what it really means to be a hero in today’s world, where social power often outweighs special gifts. As Sang-ung, short on cash but desperate to act, faces off against the Human League, audiences can’t help but wonder how he’ll overcome the ironic curse of his own power. The series stands out for its grounded humor and relatability that define this one-of-a-kind, down-to-earth hero.
This holiday season, discover a hero you can truly relate to in Cashero, premiering December 26, only on Netflix.
