02 February 2026Dearest gentle readers, members of the ton were cordially invited to attend the most anticipated affair of the social season, The Grand Obsidian Ball, held at Toronto’s celebrated Fairmont Royal York.
In celebration of the release of Bridgerton Season 4, Part 1, more than 400 esteemed guests descended upon the historic landmark hotel in their finest Regency-inspired formal attire. Each look embraced the romance and opulence of the series, with many pairing their ensembles with a masquerade mask to add to the mystery of the event.
Those in attendance were graced by a special surprise appearance by this season’s stars, Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton) and Yerin Ha (Sophie Baek), who greeted guests and introduced an enchanting Bridgerton-inspired choreographed dance, performed by some of Toronto’s very own beau monde.
Throughout the night, guests danced to a live string quartet playing beloved songs from the Season 4 soundtrack. Attendees also enjoyed live portrait drawings and stepped into a recreation of the Bridgerton House Morning Room for an immersive experience that brought the fantasy to life.
For one unforgettable evening, Toronto was transported back in time, bringing fans closer to the magic of the series in a celebration so grand it will surely merit a mention in Lady Whistledown’s society papers.
