From romance and sports to fantasy and action, Netflix’s anime lineup continues to grow in range and reach with audiences worldwide. At AnimeJapan 2026 — one of the world’s largest anime events, held March 28–29 —a range of new updates and assets were unveiled for a slate of titles coming to the service globally.


Dandelion Trailer, Key Art, Launch Date, and Additional Cast Announcement

Dandelion, the Netflix series based on the debut work of Hideaki Sorachi — creator of the hugely popular “Gintama”, one of Weekly Shonen Jump’s flagship manga — is set to premiere on April 16. The trailer and key art have also been revealed. 

The trailer teases a heartfelt yet humorous story that captures the charm of the original work, following angels as they search for restless spirits unable to pass on and work tirelessly to guide them to the afterlife. The result is a moving experience that will make audiences both laugh and cry. Fans of the original manga, as well as those new to the story, can look forward to the original story that unfolds with this anime series.


STEEL BALL RUN JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 2nd STAGE Trailer Debut

Set in the late 19th-century, STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure follows the first-ever horseback race across North America. While the 1st STAGE has just begun streaming, the trailer for the 2nd STAGE has already been unveiled.

A desert crossing spanning roughly 750 miles—the land that Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli must challenge, is home to the area that is feared as the “Devil’s Palm.” As ominous incidents begin to unfold, they are forced to realize that this race is far more than a mere competition. The two press forward into the 2nd STAGE, where countless hidden motives collide.

2nd STAGE is set to premiere in 2026.


BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai Part 2 Announcement, Teaser Trailer, and Teaser Art Debut

Based on Keisuke Itagaki’s manga “BAKI-DOU” (Weekly Shonen Champion, 2014-2018), the Netflix Series BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai picks up after Baki’s legendary father-son battle against Yujiro Hanma and introduces a new threat: the resurrection of Japan’s greatest swordsman, Musashi Miyamoto.

It has been announced that Part 2 is on the way, with a teaser trailer and teaser art newly revealed. Featuring fierce, life-or-death battles between the legendary swordsman Musashi Miyamoto and the strongest underground fighters, Part 2 will dive into even more intense combat. Sparks of Tomorrow Trailer and Key Art Debut

Kyoto Animation breaks new ground with Sparks of Tomorrow, a fantastical adventure following young protagonists who dream of an age of electricity in a world shrouded in smoke. The series is set to premeire starting July 5, with the main trailer and a new key visual now revealed.

The trailer offers a gripping look at the story’s central mystery surrounding “The 20th Century Electrical Catalog,” as the characters confront past regrets while unraveling its secrets — showcasing a compelling preview that’s hard to look away from.


Blue Box Season 2 Teaser Art and Teaser Trailer Debut

Blue Box, the hugely popular manga by Kouji Miura, delicately portrays the earnest dedication of relatable characters as they chase their dreams, along with the subtle emotional nuances of falling in love. Season 2 of the anime, which generated significant buzz, will be exclusively streamed on Netflix starting this October. The teaser art and teaser trailer have also been released.

In Season 2, the story follows Taiki and Chinatsu as they gradually grow closer, with scenes that capture the shifting distance between them. Viewers can look forward to the ’ subtle facial expressions that mirror the characters’ inner emotions, as well as a series of memorable lines. A new character also appears, who says unsettling words to Chinatsu… making the early part of the story especially compelling.


BEASTARS Final Season Part 2 First Look Image Debut of Ending Theme Song Music Video by SEVENTEEN

It has been announced that the animated music video for “Tiny Light,” performed by global artist SEVENTEEN and serving as the ending theme for BEASTARS Final Season Part 2, will premiere on SEVENTEEN’s official YouTube channel at midnight JST on March 30. Ahead of the release, first look images from the music video have also been unveiled.

The music video showcases an emotional experience, beautifully intertwining the story woven so far by Legoshi, Haru, and others with the song. The animation has been newly created specifically for the video and even features characters inspired by SEVENTEEN, making it a must-watch.
