22 October 2024"New Frontiers of Audiovisual Production in Mexico" will be held on February 10 to 14, 2024, in Mexico City.
The program seeks to foster talent and improve diversity in the audiovisual industry.
Applications will be received from October 22 to December 3, 2024 until 6 p.m. Mexico City time.
The Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (AMACC), in collaboration with Netflix, invites everyone interested to participate in the training program: “New Frontiers of Audiovisual Production in Mexico”. This seminar seeks to promote talent and diversity in the Mexican audiovisual industry, eliminating barriers to access and providing opportunities for diverse communities throughout the country.
The program –which will be implemented by Pimienta Films– offers a comprehensive panorama of the film industry, covering topics like market challenges, audiovisual formats, financing, new narratives, distribution, legal matters, and more. Each module will be facilitated by professionals with outstanding careers in their respective fields.
The seminar will be held in Mexico City from February 10 to 14, 2025, and participation in the program will be free of charge. Support will also be available for transportation and other services to ensure that all those selected are able to attend.
The program is open to any person of legal age, of Mexican or foreign nationality, residing in Mexican territory with temporary or permanent residence in Mexico for at least two years.
Applicants must have produced audiovisual projects in at least one of the following categories: one fiction, documentary or animation feature film; one series; or two short films, either fiction or documentary.
Applications will be received from October 22 to December 3 until 6 p.m. Mexico City time. The results will be announced on January 24, 2025.
