Killings and Killers: See What Lies Beneath ‘A Killer Paradox’ on February 9

What happens when a man accidentally murders a serial killer? The fast-cut teaser video of A Killer Paradox gives a glimpse into the story of a regular guy who somehow turns into a serial killer, all while being pursued by a detective intent on capturing him. Debuting on February 9, the series is headlined by Choi Woo-Shik (Parasite), Son Suk-ku (D.P.), and Lee Hee-Jun (Miss Baek), who are all well-versed in the thriller genre.

Choi undergoes a dramatic transformation to play Lee Tang, a typical university student, delivering a chilling performance as he evolves from an ordinary man into a murderer. Son takes on the role of Jang Nan-gam, a relentless detective with sharp intuition, creating a character who faces internal conflict while persistently pursuing Lee Tang. 

A Killer Paradox is based on Kkomabi’s webtoon of the same name, which won countless awards, including the New Artist Award at the Korea Contents Awards, Today’s Korean Cartoon Award, and the Jury Prize at the Reader’s Cartoon Grand Awards. Shocking readers for its sensational storytelling, the webtoon explores themes of sin and punishment through Lee Tang, the vigilante who only murders criminals.

Fans are eagerly waiting to see how the series will amp up and enrich the original work, which is known for its detailed character depictions. Renowned director Lee Chang-hee (Hell is Other People, The Vanished) worked with writer Kim Da-min, winner of the 2019 Gyeonggi Scenario Planning and Development Feature Category, to turn the webtoon into a riveting K-thriller.
