São Paulo, October 19, 2026 – Globo and Netflix announced the largest content licensing agreement ever signed between the two companies. Starting in December, 18 Globo original productions will be available on Netflix, dubbed and subtitled in multiple languages. The package includes 14 films, three telenovelas and one series, with licenses covering different territories.

The films include Walter Salles' I'm Still Here, winner of the 2025 Academy Award for Best International Feature (licensed for Brazil only). Also included is Vitória, directed by Andrucha Waddington and starring the Academy Award nominee Fernanda Montenegro (worldwide distribution).

Among the telenovelas is India – A Love Story. Created by Glória Perez and directed by Marcos Schechtman, it won the 2009 International Emmy for Best Telenovela and is licensed for the United States and Latin America, excluding Brazil. The deal also covers seven seasons of the comedy series Vai Que Cola, created by Leandro Soares and directed by João Fonseca and Regis Faria, exclusively for Brazil.

The titles will roll out on Netflix through mid-2027. Both companies say the move underscores the power of Brazilian content to entertain audiences around the world.

"We hope this agreement is just the first step in a long partnership between two companies that share the ambition, creative craftsmanship and commitment to take Brazilian culture even further", said Elisabetta Zenatti, Vice President of Content at Netflix Brazil.

"It makes us proud to see interest in Brazilian productions growing across different markets," said Pedro Garcia, Globo's Director of Rights. "For decades, we have been dedicated to sharing the richness of our culture with the world. By combining that experience with Netflix's global scale, we take another step toward bringing Brazilian creativity to new audiences, expanding the presence and strengthening the recognition of Brazilian film and television abroad.
