Netflix to Become the New Home of WWE in Japan

Netflix today announced that, beginning October 1, 2026, it will become the new home for WWE programming in Japan. The lineup will include WWE's weekly flagship shows — Raw, SmackDown and NXT — along with Premium Live Events such as WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and Money in the Bank, as well as WWE's archive library, all streaming exclusively on Netflix. Included at no extra cost across all Netflix plans¹, members will be able to enjoy the thrilling matches that have captivated fans around the world all year-round — live in real time, and anytime, anywhere. Live broadcasts will feature original English commentary as well as Japanese commentary. 

For more than three decades, WWE has been the global leader in sports entertainment, captivating fans worldwide. On its roster, Japanese-born superstars such as IYO SKY, Asuka, Shinsuke Nakamura, KYOKI, and NARAKU are also competing at the highest level on the world stage. 

Netflix began streaming WWE globally in January 2025 (with some regions excluded)and has since built a strong track record in WWE streaming. The debut Netflix live streaming drew 4.9 million views² and #WWERaw is consistently the #1 trending topic on X. By combining WWE's passionate, multigenerational fandom with Netflix's global reach, the partnership has continued to create dynamic, engaging kinds of viewing experiences.

Members in Japan will also be able to watch WWE matches and related content — including the documentary WWE: Unreal anytime, anywhere, on any internet-connected device, from smartphones to TVs. Whether they've followed WWE for years or are discovering it for the first time, Netflix will deliver an experience that lets every fan enjoy the world of WWE in whatever way suits them.
