Where is Amaya Martin? 'The Snow Girl' starts production in Malaga

Milena Smit, Jose Coronado and Aixa Villagrán head the cast of this thriller based on the bestseller of the same name by Javier Castillo

Netflix announced today the start of production of La chica de nieve, its new series based on the bestseller by Javier Castillo. 

Atípica Films produces for Netflix this six-episode thriller starring Milena Smit (Madres paralelas,No matarás), Jose Coronado (El inocente, El cuerpo), Aixa Villagrán (Vida perfecta, Loco por ella), Tristán Ulloa (Fariña, Pudor) Loreto Mauleón (Patria, Besos en el aire),  Julián Villagrán (Extraterrestre), Raúl Prieto (Antidisturbios) y Cecilia Freire (Velvet), among others. 

Based on the best-selling novel by Javier Castillo, published by Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial and with more than one million copies sold in Spain, La chica de nieve is adapted for the screen by Jesús Mesas and Javier Andrés Roig (Deudas, Estoy vivo) and directed by David Ulloa (La caza. Monteperdido) and Laura Alvea (Ánimas). 

The series will be shot in Malaga and Madrid during the next few weeks. 

Synopsis:

Malaga, 2010, Three Wise Men parade. The most magical moment of the year turns into a nightmare for the Martín family when their daughter Amaya disappears in the crowd. Miren (Milena Smit), a trainee journalist, begins an investigation parallel to that of Inspector Millán (Aixa Villagrán) that will awaken aspects of her past that she would have liked to forget. With the help of her journalist colleague Eduardo (José Coronado), Miren will not stop until she finds the girl. Where is Amaya Martín?
