Úrsula Corberó and Quim Gutiérrez star in El cuerpo en llamas

Shooting will start next September 19th in Barcelona.

José Manuel Poga, Isak Férriz and Eva Llorach, among others, complete the cast.

Netflix announced today the start of production of EL CUERPO EN LLAMAS, its new limited series inspired by true events and starring Úrsula Corberó and Quim Gutiérrez, among others. 

This limited series, produced by Arcadia Motion Pictures for Netflix, is inspired by the crime that took place in 2017, when a man appeared burned in the Foix reservoir, in the province of Barcelona. The investigation into the homicide brought to light a toxic relationships’ network, deceits, sexual scandals and violence among several police officers in Barcelona.

Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist) and Quim Gutiérrez (Honeymoon with my Mother) play Rosa and Albert, the two police officers protagonists of this story, and the cast is completed by José Manuel Poga (Money Heist), Isak Férriz (Below Zero) and Eva Llorach (Quién te cantará) among others. 

EL CUERPO EN LLAMAS is directed by Jorge Torregrossa (Fariña, Intimacy), who also serves as executive producer, and Laura Mañá (Un novio para mi mujer) and written by Laura Sarmiento (Intimacy, Matadero). 

The limited series will begin filming on September 19th and will take place over several weeks in Barcelona and other municipalities in the province. 

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS

May 2017. The charred remains of police officer Pedro (José Manuel Poga) are found inside a burnt-out car at Barcelona's Foix reservoir. The discovery quickly arouses the public's interest, especially when the investigation begins to reveal a network of toxic relationships, deceit, violence and sexual scandals involving Pedro and two fellow police officers: his partner Rosa (Úrsula Corberó) and her ex-boyfriend Albert (Quim Gutiérrez).
