join the cast of the second season of The Neighbor

will direct the episodes of this new season

Madrid, May 29, 2020 - In the second season of The Neighbor, Javier (Quim Gutiérrez), Lola (Clara Lago), JR (Adrián Pino) and Julia (Catalina Sopelana) will meet a very special character: a mysterious official (Javier Botet), who appears in the neighbourhood to find the true Guardian. Meanwhile, Madrid is running up as a candidate for the Olympic games and the Mayor (Gracia Olaya) will do everything possible to win them, including using a famous actor (Fran Perea) to pretend to be Titán and take advantage of his commercial pull.

That’s the starting point of the second season of The Neighbor, that will welcome some new characters played by Gracia Olayo (La Llamada, Supernormal), Javier Botet (REC, Malasaña 32), Fran Perea (Los Serrano, La sonata del silencio) and Celia de Molina (Who Would You Take to a Deserted Island?, Lejos de ti). These new names add up to the main cast led by Quim Gutiérrez (Te quiero, imbécil, Dark Blue Almost Black, Ventajas de viajar en tren, Litus) and Clara Lago (Spanish Affair, Tengo ganas de ti, La cara oculta) along with Catalina Sopelana (Quién te cantará) and Adrián Pino (Allí abajo, Grupo 7, Malviviendo). Aníbal Gómez (Justo antes de Cristo), Denís Gómez (Instinto, Unauthorized living) y Paula Malia (Valeria, Benvinguts a la familia), among others, will also return.

The new season of The Neighbor based on the comic by Santiago García and Pepo Pérez published by Astiberri, will count with four directors: Ernesto Sevilla (Museo Coconut, La hora chanante, Lo dejo cuando quiera), Raúl Navarro (El cielo puede esperar, El fin de la comedia), Víctor García León (Vamos Juan, Derecho a soñar) and Mar Olid (Los Serrano, La otra mirada, Unauthorized living).

Raúl Navarro, Miguel Esteban and Marc Crehuet are the screenwriters of this second season. Josep Gatell (Es por tu bien, Así nos va) and Teresa de Rosendo (Alma, Sweet Home, Servir y Proteger) join the production as showrunners and Eneko Gutiérrez is the executive producer of this original series produced by ZETA STUDIOS (ÉLITE, Superlópez) for Netflix.
