The chase has begun... Santo starts its shooting in Spain

Netflix has announced today the beginning of the shooting of Santo, its first original project carried out by Spain and Brazil. The series has been created by Carlos López (Hache, El príncipe, La embajada), and starring Raúl Arévalo (Antidisturbios, The Fury of a Patient Man, Black Beach) and Bruno Gagliasso (O Sétimo Guardião, Sol naciente, Babilônia). The main cast is lead by Victoria Guerra (Auga seca, 3 mulheres) y Greta Fernández (Elisa y Marcela, La hija de un ladrón), Thomas Aquino (Bacurau, Boca a Boca) and María Vázquez (Quien a hierro mata, María y los demás). 

Directed by Gonzalo López-Gallego (Néboa, La zona, Ángel o demonio) and Vicente Amorim (A Divisão, Romance Policial: Espinosa, Copa Hotel), Santo is a thrilling crime, action and intriguing thriller series that sometimes resembles terror. It tells the story of Santo, the world's most wanted drug dealer whose face has never been revealed. Two police officers who go after him, Cardona and Millán, are initially radically opposed, but they will have to learn to collaborate and understand each other in order to solve the case and stay alive.

FIND OUT WHO ARE THE SANTOS´S CHARACTER

• Raúl Arévalo is MILLÁN | Miguel Millán is a detective of the Madrid anti-drug unit. His expression is icy but he burns inside. Everyone remembers him as a good cop and he's going to prove that he still is.  

• Bruno Gagliasso is CARDONA | Ernesto Cardona is a police officer of the Federal Police at Salvador de Bahía (Brazil).  He is a man of action, self-confident, without questions or shadows, capable of infiltrating a Brazilian cartel willing to do anything. Able to infiltrate the narco, he is willing to do anything until everything turns against him.

• Victoria Guerra plays the role of BÁRBARA | Bárbara Azevedo, a brilliant girl of Portuguese origin, who studied Medicine in Madrid and dropped her professional future to travel to Brazil, where she has started a new life.   

• Greta Fernández is SUSI | Susana Jackson is the new deputy police inspector of the unit. She has  an instinct and a strong character. Chasing Santo's trail definitely puts her to the test. 

• Thomas Aquino brings PAULO to life | Paulo Da Luz,  a federal police officer, has been on the front line for years. He is an all-rounder, the best partner, but also incapable of forgiving his own mistakes.  

• María Vázquez is ARANTXA | Arantxa Rivera, from the Scientific Police team and Millán's ex-wife,  whom she has a teenage daughter with. Organized and decisive, she tries to keep a cool head in the face of obstacles.
