Netflix Drops The Action-Packed Trailer for 'State of Fear', Which Premieres February 11

São Paulo, January 27, 2026 – Today (January 27), Netflix releases the official trailer of State of Fear, premiering on February 11. Directed by Pedro Morelli, the film promises from the very start a story driven by moral dilemmas, extreme choices, and high-octane action.  With an intense visual style and ambitious single takes, State of Fear intensifies the sense of urgency, propelling viewers through a narrative that tests the boundaries between justice and power.

The members of the Brotherhood face a critical moment when their main leaders are transferred to maximum-security prisons, threatening the group’s stability. Elisa (Camilla Damião), the 18-year-old daughter of Edson (Seu Jorge), founder of the Brotherhood, was raised on the periphery of crime and is kidnapped by corrupt police officers. As her aunt Cristina (Naruna Costa) tries to rescue her, the gang orders the “State of Fear,” a wave of violent attacks against police stations and security forces that plunges the city of São Paulo into chaos. In the midst of the turmoil, Elisa and Cristina grapple with dilemmas of justice and violence as the choices of the past and present collide to shape their destinies.

The film's script was written by Pedro Morelli and Julia Furrer, with production by Andrea Barata Ribeiro, co-production by Cristina Abi, and cinematography by Kauê Zilli. In addition to Naruna Costa and Camilla Damião, the cast includes David Santos, Elzio Vieira, Enio Cavalcante, Hermila Guedes, Lee Taylor, Marcélia Cartaxo, Seu Jorge, Stefani Mota, and Samurai Cria.

The first spin-off of a Brazilian Netflix series, State of Fear invites audiences into an immersive experience with seamless, unbroken action sequences, expanding the world of the original with a brand-new, standalone story that can be fully understood without any prior familiarity with the series. Created by Morelli and released in 2019, the original Brotherhood series was a hit with audiences and reached more than 10 million views worldwide.
