'Sister Death' will open the Sitges Film Festival on October 5
Netflix today confirmed the release date for 'Sister Death', director Paco Plaza's return to the Veronica universe, which will premiere worldwide on the platform on October 27 following its official presentation at the Sitges Film Festival on October 5, and unveiled the official key art.
The film, scripted by Jorge Guerricaechevarria ('Hasta el cielo', 'Las leyes de la frontera'), stars Aria Bedmar ('El silencio', 'Dime quien soy'), Almudena Amor ('El silencio', 'La abuela'), Maru Valdivielso ('Verónica', 'Historias para no dormir'), Luisa Merelas ('Quien a hierro mata', 'Elisa y Marcela'), Chelo Vivares ('30 monedas', 'Desaparecidos'), Consuelo Trujillo ('Verónica', 'Adiós') and newcomers Sara Roch, Olimpia Roch, Adriana Camarena, Martina Delgado and Claudia Fernandez Arroyo, produced by El Estudio, a production company formed by Enrique López Lavigne ('Verónica', 'La abuela'), Pablo Cruz ('Fear the Walking Dead', 'El baile de los 41') and Diego Suarez Chialvo ('Our Ladies', 'Slaughterhouse Rulez').
'Sister Death' will be the opening film of the 56th edition of the International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia.
About 'Sister Death'
In post-war Spain, Narcisa, a young novice with supernatural powers, arrives at a former convent, now a school for girls, to become a teacher. As the days go by, the strange events and increasingly disturbing situations that torment her will eventually lead her to unravel the terrible skein of secrets that surround the convent and haunt its inhabitants.
