Berlin, October 24, 2022 – The new trailer for the long-awaited mystery series 1899was released today, giving us more insight into the mysterious happenings aboard the immigrant ship. Numerous cryptic symbols, curious objects and inexplicable events raise all kinds of questions. But one thing seems to be certain – in spite of their different backgrounds and languages, the passengers on board must overcome the apparent rifts between them and join forces to get to the bottom of the ship's riddles.
The mystery series by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, the makers of DARK, starts November 17, worldwide and exclusively on Netflix.

About 1899
The eight episodes follow mysterious events during the voyage of an immigrant ship from Europe to New York. The passengers, all of different backgrounds, are united by their hopes for a new century and their future abroad. When they discover a second ship adrift on the open sea that had gone missing for months, their journey takes an unexpected turn. What they find on board will turn their passage to the promised land into a nightmare-like riddle, connecting each of the passenger’s pasts through a web of secrets.
