The film, scripted by Jorge Guerricaechevarria (Hasta el cielo, The Laws of the Border), stars Aria Bedmar (Tell Me Who I Am), Almudena Amor (The Grandmother, The Good Boss), Maru Valdivielso (Verónica, Historias para no dormir), Luisa Merelas (Eye for an eye, Elisa & Marcela), Chelo Vivares (30 Coins, Desaparecidos), Consuelo Trujillo (Verónica, Bye) and newcomers Sara Roch, Olimpia Roch, Adriana Camarena, Marina Delgado and Claudia Fernandez Arroyo.

Hermana muerte, produced by El Estudio for Netflix, begins shooting today in the Valencian Region.

The film recovers the universe of Verónica, also directed by Paco Plaza and starring Sandra Escacena and Ana Torrent. For Enrique López Lavigne (Verónica, The Grandmother), Pablo Cruz (Fear the Walking Dead, Dance of the 41) and Diego Suarez Chialvo (Our Ladies, Slaughterhouse Rulez) producers of El Estudio, "Hermana muerte is a date with quality horror, Paco Plaza's trademark, but it is also a teenage mystery version of the inexplicable and fascinating phenomena surrounding Marian apparitions. Finally, this film gives us the opportunity to tell the story of the origins of one of the most terrifying characters of Veronica, Plaza's classic".
