Nor for fame, nor money: Only for Love premieres September 21 on Netflix

São Paulo, August 9, 2022 - Be still, my heart! The series Only For Love just got its premiere date - September 21 - and we can already get a taste of what's to come with the new teaser of this very Brazilian production from Netflix. Starring Lucy Alves from Paraíba, Filipe Bragança from Goiás, and - in her first acting role - Agnes Nunes from Bahia, the series also has an official poster. The plot, inspired by the Brazilian style of loving and suffering, goes beyond love (and broken hearts) to deal with ambition and dreams as well. What is worth giving up in exchange for what you have always wanted?

Packed with music, with an eclectic soundtrack full of original songs as well as ones already known and loved by listeners, Only For Love takes place in Goiás. It tells the story of a couple who are musicians, Deusa (Lucy Alves), who hails from Paraíba, and Tadeu (Filipe Bragança), who comes from Goiás. Deeply in love and dreaming big about a musical career, they decide to form a band, Só Se For Por Amor (Only If It's For Love). But as soon as they start to become successful, Deusa receives a proposal to start a solo career from powerful businessman César Marcolo (Gustavo Vaz). As they follow different paths, their relationship becomes rocky. Meanwhile, the band will start the search for a new lead singer. That’s when Eva (Agnes Nunes) appears, bringing with her a secret.

The cast for this Brazilian drama brings names such as Ana Mametto, Micael, Giordano Castro, Adriano Ferreira, Luiza Fittipaldi, Laila Garin, Jeniffer Nascimento, Bruno Fagundes, Leona Jhovs, Alexandre Menezes, and Clarissa Müller, as well as special appearances from Marcélia Cartaxo, Leo Jaime, Day Camargo, and Solange Almeida.

Produced by Coração da Selva for Netflix, Only For Love is directed by Ana Luiza Azevedo, Gisele Barroco and Joana Mariani, with musical direction by Ricco Viana and Ruben Feffer. The series was produced by Georgia Costa Araújo and showrunner Luciano Patrick, who is also script writer and creator of the series.
