Entertainment
03 February 2026Ten years of Netflix in India isn’t a milestone we mark alone. It’s a story we’ve written together with creators who took bold risks, actors and technicians who brought those visions to life, partners who built with passion, teams who kept raising the bar, and above all, audiences who welcomed these stories with curiosity and openness. A decade of streaming has reinforced a simple truth: there is no single way to tell Indian stories, and no single audience to serve. India is one nation, made up of many Indias. Our work begins and continues with embracing all of them.
As we look ahead to the next chapter, our 2026 slate reflects this belief, shaped by the clear ambition to celebrate, entertain, and salute India, one story at a time. It brings together established names and visionary creators alongside emerging voices, while expanding our canvas across genres — from high-stakes crime and thrillers to family dramas, comedy, rom-coms, unscripted formats, and stories rooted in everyday life. Underpinning it all is a commitment we hold deeply: to empower India’s storytellers, nurture new voices and create stories that truly entertain.
Stories from the Many Indias
From the very beginning, our mission has been both simple and ambitious: to entertain India in every mood and moment. As we step into the next decade, we’re expanding that promise with a slate designed to move seamlessly across genres, tones, and perspectives.
Operation Safed Sagar tells the story of the Indian Air Force’s pivotal role in the Kargil War, exploring a side of the conflict that has never been seen in Indian cinema. Moving on to the rhythms of everyday life, Chumbak is a warm, slice-of-life series led by Neena Gupta that celebrates the often-forgotten joy of community, from the house of India’s favourites JD Majethia and Aatish Kapadia. Nilanjana Purkayasstha brings a gripping romantic-thriller with Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai, exploring a world where passion, obsession, and morality blur.
At the other end of the emotional spectrum lies the gritty, high-stakes world of Neeraj Pandey’s Ghooskhor Pandat, headlined by the formidable Manoj Bajpayee, where moral choices carry real consequences. Balancing intensity with intimacy, Musafir Cafe, starring Vikrant Massey, explores an unfinished story of love, self-discovery, and second chances, while Maa Behen, starring Madhuri Dixit and Tripti Dimri, transforms family chaos into a darkly comic thriller. Adding humour, heart, and cultural chaos to the mix, we’re also bringing back Bhuvan Bam’s Dhindora for its much-awaited second season.
Continuing this exploration of India’s social and cultural fabric is Hum Hindustani. Headlined by Saif Ali Khan and Pratik Gandhi, and inspired by remarkable true events, the film brings to life the powerful story of India’s first general election — a defining moment that shaped the nation after Independence. From the foundations of democracy to the possibilities of the future, Hello Bachhon offers a moving narrative of hope and transformation, exploring the real-world impact of one of India’s most successful edtech start-ups and the power of access to education.
For audiences drawn to stories with scale, emotional depth, and intensity, the slate leans into bold, layered narratives — from Hansal Mehta’s Family Business, starring Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma in a high-stakes battle for control within a powerful business dynasty, to the classic Bollywood masala of IKKA, featuring two powerhouse performers of Indian cinema, Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna. Expanding this spectrum further are psychological dramas such as Anubhuti Kashyap’s Accused, starring Konkona Sen Sharma, and Kartavya, a powerful social impact story from Red Chillies Entertainment starring Saif Ali Khan and Sanjay Mishra.
Our commitment to entertaining India in every mood continues with a growing unscripted slate from the fiery reality series Lock Upp, to the glamour of Desi Bling, and the return of laughter and spectacle with The Great Indian Kapil Show for its fifth season.
Also, catch the return of some fan favourite series. Mismatched returns for its fourth season, Lust Stories for its third, and Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 brings back familiar characters navigating stranger cases and bigger ambitions.
Together, these stories reflect how India lives, loves, disagrees, grows and ultimately, comes together.
South India’s Cinematic Force
Stories from the South continue to captivate audiences with bold vision and emotional depth — spanning modern romances, supernatural thrillers, family sagas, and heartfelt comedy.
In Tamil, the slate reflects both contemporary sensibilities and cinematic ambition — from #Love, a rom-com series set in the fast-evolving world of dating apps, to the cross-cultural drama Made in Korea, a film that explores identity across borders. Anchoring this lineup is Legacy, a Tamil series starring R. Madhavan that tells a visually rich, emotionally charged story of family, power, and inheritance.
In Telugu, we are expanding into genre-led and format-defining storytelling. Takshakudu marks Anand Deverakonda’s Netflix debut in a gripping supernatural mystery film, while Super Subbu, our first Telugu series, brings humour, heart, and a distinctly unique voice to the slate.
Creative Partnerships That Power Stories
Bringing this exciting slate together is a stellar lineup of blockbuster films headed to Netflix India, created in collaboration with some of the industry’s most respected banners such as Red Chillies Entertainment, T-Series, Bhansali Productions, Jio Studios, Yash Raj Films, Maddock, Dharma Productions, Junglee Pictures, Ajay Devgn Films, Luv Films, Balaji Telefilms, and Colour Yellow Pictures.
In the South, we are proud to be partnering with powerhouses like Sithara Entertainments, Mythri Movie Makers, Vyjayanthi Movies, Wall Poster Cinema, Geetha Arts, AGS Entertainment, Raaj Kamal Films International, Hombale Films, 2D Entertainment, and Stone Bench Pvt Ltd.
The next chapter of Netflix in India will be defined by the same belief that brought us here: that India’s stories are infinite and so are the ways to tell them. We’re excited to keep building alongside the creators who imagine boldly, the partners who craft with care, and the audiences who make every story matter. Here’s to the next decade and to entertaining India, one story at a time.
