Netflix Reveals Trailer for Swedish Crime Thriller Blood Sacrifice

Netflix today unveils the trailer for a gripping new Swedish crime thriller series, premiering on August 20. Created by George Kay (Lupin, Hijack), the five-part drama introduces a tense and emotionally charged hunt for a killer targeting the police. 

Jakob Oftebro (Hamilton) stars as lead investigator Thomas, forced to work with his estranged father Alfred, a former detective played by Peter Andersson (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). As bodies mount and the attacks draw closer to home, father and son must put decades of resentment aside to stop a brutal killer before time runs out. The series is directed by Kristoffer Nyholm (The Killing, Taboo).

Playing a detective felt very close to my heart, especially as my own son is a police officer. About Blood Sacrifice 

It is summer time in Stockholm, when the darkness never really creeps in. A 911 call is received, speaking of a home invasion. Two police officers are sent to the address, a summer house in the archipelago. Only to find there is no one there, at least not that they can see. The next day the bodies of the officers are found, a brutal crime. This is the start of a series of terrifying murders, all seemingly targeting police officers. The lead detective needs to ask his father, a retired detective, for help in cracking the case.
