Netflix releases Alma on August 19th

The girl in the mirror

Netflix has confirmed today the premiere of Alma on August 19th. A supernatural thriller shot almost entirely in the Principality of Asturias and created by Sergio G. Sánchez (Marrowbone) and directed by himself together with Kike Maíllo (EVA). Produced by Beleń Atienza (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Marrowbone), Sandra Hermida (Arde Madrid, Marrowbone) and Jesús de la Vega (Intruders, Hierro).

After surviving a bus accident in which almost all her classmates die, Alma wakes up in a hospital with no memory of the incident... or of her past. Her house is full of memories that aren't hers, and both amnesia and trauma cause her to experience night terrors and visions that she cannot clarify. With the help of her parents and friends, unknown to her, she will try to uncover the mystery surrounding the accident while struggling to recover her life and her identity.

Alma is a story about the search for identity through an emotional, mysterious and unexpected plot. The main cast includes Mireia Oriol (Les de l'hoquei), Alex Villazán (Caronte), Pol Monen (Who Would You Take to a Deserted Island?), Claudia Roset (SKAM), Javier Morgade (El nudo), Nil Cardoner (Les de l'hoquei), María Caballero (The Ministry of Time) and Milena Smit (Cross the Line). The cast is completed by Elena Irureta, Marta Belaustegui, Josean Bengoetxea, Cándido Uranga, Katia Borlado, Ximena Vera, Celia Sastre, Laura Ubach, Raúl Tejón and Alejandro Serrano.
