Netflix Orders Limited Series Adaptation of John Steinbeck’s Classic, 'East of Eden'

Florence Pugh Set to Star and Executive Produce Limited Series Adapted by Zoe Kazan, Who Serves as Executive Producer and Co-Showrunner with Jeb Stuart

Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist and Hoon Lee Join Cast

• Today, Netflix announced the greenlight of East of Eden, starring and executive-produced by Florence Pugh and also starring Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist and Hoon Lee. Zoe Kazan will adapt the seven-episode limited series based on Nobel Prize-winner John Steinbeck’s classic novel of the same name. She will executive produce and co-showrun alongside Jeb Stuart. 

• Format: Limited-Series; seven episodes

• Logline: This modern interpretation of Steinbeck's masterpiece will explore the multigenerational saga of the Trask family, focusing new attention on its indelible antihero, Cathy Ames.
