Amsterdam, 5 February 2024 - Today, Netflix announced a new film, a gripping thriller centered around a tense hostage situation in the heart of Amsterdam. The film switches between key characters' perspectives in this intense hostage scenario, from the perpetrator to the hostages and the first responders, creating a mosaic of experiences. Shooting of the film will start soon under the direction of Bobby Boermans. The film is written by Simon de Waal and produced by Horizon Film. Cast includes Soufiane Moussouli, Marcel Hensema, Loes Haverkort, Louis Talpe, Emmanuel Ohene Boafo, Fockeline Ouwerkerk, Roosmarijn van der Hoek, Matteo van der Grijn, Thijs Boermans, Ahlaam Teghadouini and Jolanda Van Den Berg.

About the film A hostage situation gripped the city and the country, capturing global attention. A mosaic-style film focusing on life-threatening situations and the choices made in those moments. Bobby Boermans, director of the film: "The hostage situation in the Apple Store marks a unique event in the Netherlands and inspired me, along with screenwriter Simon de Waal, to collaborate once again. With the film, we aim to tell a genuine and compelling story, providing the audience with a realistic portrayal of the intense experiences of those involved during the five-hour hostage situation."
