Netflix announces its new Brazilian Christmas movie, with GKAY, Sérgio Malheiros and Vera Fischer among the cast

São Paulo, November 19, 2021 - One of the most eagerly awaited times of the year gets a new chapter on Netflix: in 2022, the platform launches its new, as-yet-untitled, Brazilian Christmas comedy. Starring Gkay, Sérgio Malheiros and Vera Fischer, the production has already begun shooting in Rio de Janeiro. This is Netflix's second Brazilian Christmas movie, after Just Another Christmas, starring Leandro Hassum, which in 2020 entertained 26 million households worldwide. 

The new movie will tell the story of Carlinhos (Sérgio Malheiros), who, after discovering his ex-girlfriend has betrayed him, takes a stranger to supper at his family's mansion. Graça, played by Gkay, turns out to be a guest capable of bringing the house down. The visit does not please the matriarch of the family, Lady Sofia (Vera Fischer). 

The cast also includes Monique Alfradique, Letícia Isnard, Nando Cunha, Cezar Maracujá, Flavia Reis, Valentina Vieira, Gabriel Louchard, Heitor Martinez, Valéria Vitoriano, Victor Meyniel, Noemia Oliveira, Diogo Defante, Mariana Armellini, among others. 

Produced by GLAZ Entertainment for Netflix, the film is directed by Pedro Antônio, with script by Carol Garcia and script consulting by Fil Braz. Produced by Mayra Lucas and Carolina Alckmin, with Dora Amorim and Paulo Serpa as executive producers.
