'Mont Netflix' – Netflix Temporarily Raises Highest Point in Belgium for Ultimate Climb

Signal de Botrange, June 10, 2024 - To celebrate the new season of Tour de France: Unchained, Netflix is inviting cycling fans to climb “Mont Netflix. At the iconic Signal de Botrange, Netflix is building a temporary unique cycling challenge. For ten days, Belgium's highest point (694 meters) will be raised by another seven meters. Netflix invites all cycling fans - just like the professional cyclists from Tour de France: Unchained - to take on the climb and experience what it feels like to ride a stage as a professional cyclist. 

From June 13 till June 23, “Mont Netflix” will be open to the general public. The total course consists of 14 kilometres, with an altitude difference of 358 meters. Cyclists climbing 'Mont Netflix' at the end will ride between sponsored signs and see painted cheers on the road, just like a real finish of a tour stage. In collaboration with Strava, Netflix created a cycling challenge . When participating, each cyclist has a chance to win a 'Mont Netflix Trophy'. Access to 'Mont Netflix' is free. The official opening of ‘Mont Netflix’ is on June 13. A select group consisting of (former) cyclists, athletes, fans and journalists will cycle the stage and compete for the KOM/QOM (King/Queen of Mountain).
