Netflix has acquired the rights to Maurene Goo’s novel Somewhere Only We Know and will adapt it into a feature film.
Maurene Goo is the author of several acclaimed and award-winning young adult novels including I Believe in a Thing Called Love and The Way You Make Me Feel.
Somewhere Only We Know was named a Cosmopolitan Best Young Adult Book of 2019.

Logline: A chance encounter between a K-Pop star and a tabloid photographer offers love and adventure as they wander through the neon streets of Hong Kong in this contemporary twist on ROMAN HOLIDAY meets BEFORE SUNRISE.
The film will join Netflix’s growing slate of content centered in the K-Pop world including music documentary BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky which was released globally last year.
