Berlin, March 6, 2024 – Following the success of the US American 'Crime Scene' series, Netflix is bringing a German murder series to the screen – Crime Scene Berlin: Nightlife Killer season 1 launches worldwide on 3 April. The three-part documentary series, produced by Beetz Brothers Film Production, reconstructs the case of several mysterious murders in Berlin's nightlife that became nationally known as the "Coma Killer" in 2012. Among the eyewitnesses who share their perspective on the events are the public prosecutor, relatives of the victims and a survivor, as well as the criminal investigators responsible at the time. American documentary filmmaker Joe Berlinger, whose Netflix documentaries Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes and Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich have thrilled fans of the crime genre worldwide, acted as executive producer for the series alongside Georg Tschurtschenthaler, Florian Fettweis and Christian Beetz, who were already responsible for the Netflix original series Rohwedder – Unity and Murder and Freedom and other award-winning high-end documentary series.
