Samira (Mina Tander) just wanted a house with some soul. Instead, she gets a house with dark secrets. While her husband David (Michael Klammer) and their two children Fynn (Joshua Kantara) and Juno (Mary Tölle) enjoy the benefits of moving into the first smart home built in the 1970s, with impressive architecture, a perfect domestic servant and someone always available to talk to, Samira quickly begins to feel uncertain about the whole thing. Who built this house? Why did the previous owners die under such mysterious circumstances? Why is she so suspicious of the omnipresent AI?

The closer Samira looks into the history of the house, the more she finds herself in the robotic smart home's line of fire. Cassandra (Lavinia Wilson) is modeled on the woman who once lived in the house.

This gripping and complex thriller series jumps between the present day and the events of the 1970s that spawned Cassandra, demonstrating what women are capable of in overcoming loss and protecting their families.

About Cassandra

Germany's oldest smart home has remained empty since its owners perished under mysterious circumstances over 50 years ago. In the present day, when Samira and her family move in, electronic home assistant Cassandra awakens from her decades-long slumber. Developed in the 1970s to care for a family, she has remained out of commission since the deaths of the house's former residents. Now, Cassandra senses a second chance, one where she can be something more than a fairy godmother who keeps everything running smoothly. Cassandra comes to see herself as an equal member of the family, and she has a single mission: to use every single resource at her disposal to ensure she is never left alone again.
