The official trailer for Bionic, a dystopian thriller from Afonso Poyart, has just been released. In it, Maria (Jessica Córes), a long jumper who has tirelessly pursued the podium all her life, grows resentful about the rise of bionics in sports, which are completely changing the terms of the competition. And the stakes are raised when Gabi (Gabz), her little sister, starts to shine as a bionic athlete, receiving all the glory and fame that Maria covets for herself. Driven by her ambition and her rivalry with her sister, Maria loses herself in a maze of immorality, adrenaline, and non-stop action when a man named Heitor (Bruno Gagliasso) crosses her path. Premiering on Netflix on May 29th.
