20 February 2025Rio de Janeiro, February 20, 2025 – On Thursday, Anitta gathered family and friends for an exclusive screening of the documentary Larissa: The Other Side of Anitta premiering March 6 on Netflix. The Rio de Janeiro celebration was attended by the singer's parents, Miriam Macedo and Mauro Machado, her brother, Renan Machado, and celebrities such as Maria Ribeiro, Regina Casé, Marcelo Serrado, Eri Johnson, David Brazil, Bruna Griphao, Juliana Amaral, Lucas Guedes and Rafa Uccman, who closely experienced the production.
"I'm so excited to be presenting the movie Larissa: The Other Side of Anitta to my close friends and family for the first time, right here in my hometown. After all, they are all part of this story too. I'm really looking forward to the premiere! This is very different from anything I've ever done before,” said Anitta.
“We're delighted to present this new project with Anitta in the wake of her previous successful series, Go Anitta (2018) and Anitta: Made in Honório (2020),” added Elisa Chalfon, head of non-fiction content at Netflix Brazil.
Larissa: The Other Side of Anitta captures the artist's journey of self-discovery through the intimate perspective of a crush from her youth, who helps reveal the real Larissa to the world. The content also features iconic moments from the career of the "girl from Rio," including backstage footage from Rio Carnival, unprecedented wins at international awards ceremonies, her hit single Envolver reaching the top of global charts and her performance at Coachella.
The documentary is directed by João Wainer and Pedro Cantelmo, written by Maria Ribeiro, with Felipe Britto and Melanie Chapaval Lebensztajn of Ginga Pictures serving as executive producers.
