Today, Netflix unveiled a first look and announced the premiere date for the Swedish drama thriller A Day and a Half. The film is directed by Fares Fares (Westworld, Chernobyl), who is making his directorial debut and stars as one of the lead actors. The film will also feature Alexej Manvelov (Chernobyl, Top Dog) and Alma Pöysti (Tove, Fallen leaves) in the lead roles. A Day and A Half will launch globally on Netflix on September 1.
Fares Fares, director and one of the lead actors in the film, says: “I feel very proud of this film and I’m incredibly happy that the whole world will be able to see it soon!”
About A Day and a Half
To reunite with his daughter, Artan (Alexej Manvelov) takes his ex-wife Louise (Alma Pöysti) hostage and embarks on a thrilling and emotion-charged road trip with her and police officer Lukas (Fares Fares). The journey takes them through rural Sweden during a hot summer, all while having police on their heels.
