Johannesburg, 26 March 2026 - Zak Sigcawu (Prince Grootboom) is a man who has done the work. A devoted father, a loving partner and a small business owner who left a troubled past behind him, Zak has built the kind of quiet, hard-won life that so many South Africans will recognise - until a single moment of road rage takes it all away.
180, Netflix’s gripping new South African revenge thriller from Ten30 Pictures, premieres on 17 April 2026. Written and directed by Alex Yazbek, the film follows a father pushed past every line he swore he would never cross. When a red light, a reckless taxi and a stranger’s temper collide, Zak’s young son Mandla (Mpiloenhle Sithebe) is caught in the crossfire - and when the justice system that should protect his family looks the other way, Zak makes a 180-degree turn from the man he fought so hard to become.
At the centre of the storm is Lerumo (Warren Masemola), the volatile taxi driver whose road rage sets the tragedy in motion, and his untouchable boss Eezy (Fana Mokoena), a taxi kingpin whose money and muscle reach deep into the police service. Standing between Zak and the truth is Detective Floyd (Desmond Dube), a corrupt cop on Eezy’s payroll, while his partner, Detective Layla (Danica De La Rey Jones), fights to do right by the case without knowing the rot sits right beside her.
As Zak spirals, the people who love him are forced to watch him disappear. His wife, Portia (Noxolo Dlamini), grieves a child while fighting to hold on to her husband, and his brother, Zuko (Bongile Mantsai), who shares Zak’s past and works alongside him at the family restaurant, is pulled back towards the violence they both promised to leave behind.
Shot on the streets of Johannesburg and rooted in the everyday realities of taxi wars, corruption and communities failed by the system, 180 asks a question with no easy answer: when justice fails you, how far would you go for your child - and what would it cost you to come back?
